‘The Last Post’ is a community-driven creative regeneration and place making project that seeks to interrogate the history of Tin Shed Theatre Company’s current home at The Place, and the much loved former Post Office and Night Club on Bridge Street in Newport. The Last Post will be an intergenerational and durational project co-created by the local community, exploring stories that exist across the city which link to these buildings.

We are thrilled to announce the amazing artists who designed a bespoke series of postcards for The Place as part of the Last Post project.
These stunning postcards celebrate the spirit of Newport, reimagining the traditional idea of a postcard – capturing the essence of a destination and sharing it with the world.
Rather than focusing solely on The Place as a building, the designs explore Newport itself as a vibrant and inspiring location.
All are available for you to enjoy at The Place.
