Aled Wyn Thomas
Writer / Performer
Shwmae! My name is Aled and I’ve been a part of the creative community in South Wales for over 10 years. In this time I have collaborated with companies like National Theatre Wales, BBC Cymru, Kitsch & Sync and (of course) Tin Shed Theatre Co.
My writing is inspired by human experiences, emotional connections and my other main passion in life - football.
As a performer, I’ve appeared in productions at The Other Room, Wales Millennium Centre and Sherman Theatre.
My television credits include Y Prîs, Caerdydd, Rownd a Rownd and Pobl y Cwm.
I make short films with my partner Branwen under the monicker Ffilm Bach-a-Mawr. We are inspired by small stories with big ideas, the study of identity, language and social trends.
We also like to piss around in wigs from time-to-time in honour of our musical heroes from yesteryear.
Tin Shed Theatre means a lot to me. Aside from giving me an immeasurable amount of experience, as a creative, I am continually impressed and inspired by their work and take immense pride in still being part of their strange and beautiful world.
