a multi-functional pop-up arts and community space in the centre of Newport
Nestled in a retail space in Friars walk, Unit 9 seeks to offer artists and communities a free space to co-exist, share work in and from, host events, share practice and skills.
The space is curated by Tin Shed Theatre Co and is supported by Friars Walk shopping Centre.
Ternary
Ternary is an exhibition of photographic work presented across three different venues to showcase the outstanding projects of FDa and BA Photography learners at Coleg Gwent. Running from 11th June until 25th June '22, this photographic festival exhibits work by all three year groups in the Westgate Hotel, Unit 2 and Unit 9 Friars walk in Newport, South Wales.
The festival will be running for a two week period, during which time there will be workshops, artist talks, portrait studios and demonstrations taking place by the learners.

Join us each Tuesday for a dance class with no teacher!
We come to move to music in our ways and at our own pace, however we wish to on that day. One hour with a playlist of music, this is a collaborative class where we can be flexible and create what we want. Come to explore your own movements and enjoy the space with others. Looking forward to welcoming you there.

Newport Writers Group
A group of writers in Newport, South Wales who meet once every two week to discuss writing creativity.
Starts Saturday 15th January 9-11 am
and every other Saturday after that.
