What are the sounds of the city of Newport? ‘Port Vibrations is a sound installation created by the participants of Youth Art Collective’s ‘Newport Sound Explorers’ programme. Take a moment to slip on some headphones and be immersed in the sounds created and recorded with and in response to the city’s evolving soundscapes. This project has been supported and funded by Ty Cerdd.

Noise is confronted with having to deal with two complex areas of life for a neurodiverse person; change and social connection. Minimalistically surreal in it's approach, it has been described as a blend of Fleabag and The Sandman series.

Darkly funny, painfully relatable, and full of heart, it lays bare the chaos of juggling ageing parents, kids, grandkids and work — while quietly falling apart in the middle. Come laugh, cry, and feel seen.

One part swimming down childhood memory lane and one part nerdy info-dumping about sex-switching fish, Kobudai asks the question on everyone's minds 'if fish can do it... why can't i?'

This show is a theatrical drag performance including songs, stories and glamour, set in a surrealist world of supernatural beings, magic and mystery. Includes themes of death, demons and blurring the lines between fantasy and reality.

In this sexy and divinely stupid adventure, the doomed two-headed-calf is portrayed by two inseparable she/they clown dykes. Complete with opera, a shaky bicycle ride, a medley of cow sex-capades, and an enraged Aphrodite (what’s this about a masc-shortage?) - this freak of nature’s romp around Le Pub is sure to be something.

Jenna Kearns is a disabled Welsh singer-songwriter from South Wales. Writing and performing since her teens, her music is rooted in lived experience, exploring mental health, medical trauma, and chronic illness. Supported by BBC Horizons projects her recent singles ‘I Wasn’t Ready’ and ‘My World Don’t Look Like Yours’ introduce her forthcoming EP.

His stripped-back live show highlights emotive vocals, honest lyrics and warm melodies, offering Newport Fringe audiences an intimate, heartfelt performance. Previous local performances include Countdown to Christmas 2025, Newport Music Trail and Newport Food Festival.

Mamadou brings the rhythms of the kora, djembe and bala, joined by a playful Baffoon and his talking drum. With decades of theatre, clowning and street performance experience, this dynamic duo weave music, humour and spontaneous storytelling into an unforgettable live performance full of surprise, connection and delight.

On a faraway planet made completely of trash, a peculiar creature wades through the remnants of humanity. This is no ordinary trash heap, but a graveyard for wasted time, wasted space, and wasted potential.
When you shove away those nasty old memories and bag up your ratty clothes, where do they really go?
Wasted is presented by Jean, a shape-shifting alien drag thing who has performed at venues across London and NYC, including the National Theatre, Slipper Room, EartH Hackney, The Divine, Clapham Grand, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club and Dalston Superstore. Since their drag birth in March 2024, they won Top of the Slops Season 4, was a finalist in Europe’s biggest drag king competition, Man Up! and has been featured in Up After Dark, LMAOnaise, and named Love Queers Top 100 of 2025

Find the crew and help them offer their catch of the day to the mighty Sea Cods. Through shanties, rituals and slippery mischief, join in sending their prized fish on a journey into the next life. A walkabout performance in Newport City Centre.

David and Kate (ex lovers) have to got on a journey avoiding dangerous London to find David’s mum. On the way there find a small cottage in the middle of the country side, and in that cottage they find a baby, helpless and lonley. An obstacle, a love rival.

This project aims to bring a pleasing terror to the people of Newport by seeking out the ghost stories lurking in the dark corners of the city.
Through a series of workshops and conversations, Playwright Owen Thomas will help to turn these dark tales into monologues. The completed pieces will be curated into an evening at ‘The Murenger’ Pub where two skilled actors will bring these haunting tales to life.
